Dr. Andrea Love - your life's passion and career will not be erased. Many of us feel the frustration and anguish having spent a good chunk of time in school and training (over a decade) to become scientific professionals, just to see a bunch of scientifically ignorant liars set health and science policy. But, there will be consequences. People have, and will die, and some will be permanently disabled. It is bound to affect the policy makers at some point. The Senators that voted to confirm "him" will have constituents or family members that become ill and die. This will happen in Florida as well. Tourism in Florida could also suffer. One person predicted this will end when we see pictures of people in iron lungs. There will be an uproar. It will be loud. Scientists with your skills and talents will be needed more than ever. So, please keep your chin up and continue the fight.

Dr. Andrea once again thank you. I often find your explanations striking in that they resonate & frequently add to what I know & help me present the science.

I am not without empathy and find it almost effortless in the moment when answering many questions or giving an explanation. However, CoVID... curious much more than a noun...has created almost endless challenges not the least of which explaining science.

Thanks for helping me be a better practitioner...haha that 'practice' aspect 🤗

I feel this so much. I have friends from other countries attacking vaccines. They don't have kids and they are perceiving the push for vaccinating young children as somehow an insult to God's design of the human body. Which is nuts to me. I am a Christian and I don't believe that. I haven't heard of any scientists openly insulting God because humans get sick, so they need to help God along by developing vaccines. There's nothing in scripture that bears out anything akin to God's design is perfect, therefore humans don't need medical support. I believe had vaccines been available for leprosy during the early centuries, people would be lining up in droves to get it. I say leprosy because that's one of the most mentioned diseases in the Bible. I believe God gave scientists their extraordinary intellects and skills as means to improve human existence. That's my rebuttal to that argument. No one has to believe the same as I do. I really hate what RFK, Jr., Jenny McCarthy, and a host of other people have done to cast aspersions on vaccines. I hate that people I feel should know better have bought into their lies despite the overwhelming evidence that is counter to those lies. And I really hate the continued hearings that put RFK, Jr., on blast, but don't actually do anything to hasten the end of his time as HHS Secretary.

As always, thank you for the work that you do. Thank you for staying in the fight.

FAFO! 😂 As a psychologist, I love it and will find opportunities to use it! And you are absolutely on target with your psychological understanding of how people engage in risk assessment. This is why our current denigration of experts is so dangerous. People are experts for a reason. We need to have the humility to listen to them. The notion that we are all capable of making health care decisions for ourselves and our children has been driven by the internet and the belief that we can do our own “research,” but it is ignorant and dangerous.

As for exemptions based on personal or religious beliefs, I’d like to see us call bullshit. As a psychologist, I can’t think of a single rational, sane reason for endangering our children or each other. As an ordained minister, I can say with absolute certainty that the Bible says nothing about vaccines. There are no references that could even be skewed enough to address this issue.

M. Borrow...I concur.

Statement & not to be laudable, however I continue to practice (I continue to find it a strange concept) to help those who are listening to understand & yes some who choose not the listen.
