Well done with great diagrams. We get lots of Aluminum Hydroxide from antacids, and the safety profile is well established.

I recently got into an argument with a pharmacist who claimed that the aluminium in my Rx antiperspirant (Drysol) was dangerous

Oh I wrote an article about anti perspirant awhile back too! https://news.immunologic.org/p/aluminum-containing-antiperspirants

Indeed, I used those facts in my argument!

As a practicing Phm (almost 4 decades) this is a shameful e.g. of stupidity.

If this Phm works for a retail chain you should report this information to his/her manager. Given the lack of understanding this Phm exhibited my professional concern is what he/she doesn't understand about the Rx being dispensed that require professional scrutiny.

A bit late in reading your excellent post... thanks.

I appreciate the suttle reminders that offer a concise education for those who are misinformed or lacking in their professional understanding of science.
