Primary Care doc of 40 yrs here. Thanks for your work Dr Love . I have read about RFK for 20 years so I am not too surprised . It’s going to be a long winter for public health . Public support for vaccines will return some day ( after many tragic losses /injuries from preventable diseases ) . The reason vaccines can return is that there is a large market for them , despite all the resistance and “skepticism “ . Remarkable how the vaccine / anti vaccine war goes all the way back to smallpox . It is ironic that smallpox, one of the first truly successful vaccines , was for a human only infection. The success of smallpox vaccine makes all other vaccines look inadequate . Not true of course, but it takes time to explain this to folks. I am constantly mention this bit of history to patients when they even hint they might be open to considering a vaccine.

One of my greatest concerns is that organizations I’ve counted upon for reliable information (e.g., NIH, CDC, FDA) now feel suspect because the knowledgeable people are being fired and replaced by insane people. Granted, none of these organizations have been perfect, but I believed they would uphold the most rigorous scientific standards in gathering and disseminating health information. At this point, I rely heavily upon individuals like you, who practice ethically. I am grateful!

Thank you for this. Following the money is really important and I've found it harder than I'd expect to get a clear summary of how and where RFK profits from his attack on vaccines and why no amount of evidence will get him to stop. I think the word also needs to get out more about the situation in Samoa and his response to it. People don't know how callous he is about the lives of the children he claims to be protecting.

The ACIP membership and their rubber-stamping was a sick joke. I thank God for RFK Jr cleaning up the place.

Jeck? More like jerk. Every one of the people RFKJr will select for the panel will be nothing more than a rubber stamp for his agenda and their credentials are actually the sick joke here.

Hey Jeck. I am sure your reply is simply made to get reactions, but regardless, there is a phenomenon called Natural Selection, which will greatly reduce the population of those that follow RFK and his band of merry morons. America is about choice, good luck with yours. NS won’t be impacting me anytime soon, as I trust science.

You couldn't be more mistaken, please don't repeat your misinformed opinion.

Please reread Dr Love's factual accounting of RFK Jr's abysmal behavior & his egregious actions.

I've been calling my reps/senators, but I wrote this to Ohio's governor. Not sure it will help.

Gov. DeWine,

I am writing to inform you that RFK Jr. is a threat to scientific integrity, public health, and the lives of those served by HHS research and programs. He just removed every member of the ACIP, the vaccination advisory committee. This paves the way for anti-vax conspiracy theorists to continue to infiltrate spaces formerly occupied by real scientists and trusted health professionals. I have already contacted my congressman and senators, but my concerns appear to be falling on deaf ears.

Governor, during the COVID crisis, you entrusted Dr. Amy Acton to guide, comfort, and counsel Ohioans about a threat we had never faced in our lifetimes. I realize you come from different parts of the political spectrum, but you saw a public need, an emergency, that required a calm, evidence-based response.

I am calling on you to summon that same compassion, to recognize that an unqualified pretender is guiding the HHS, removing proven recommendations, and replacing them with quackery. It is painfully obvious why RFK Jr. might go this route: he profits from it. And it is NOT okay.

PEOPLE WILL DIE. Again, PEOPLE WILL DIE when they attempt to replace tested and proven health interventions with unproven supplements, or try to treat cancer by adjusting their diet. The explosion of measles right now is just a precursor to what promises to be a historic dismantling of public trust in real science, proven treatments, and vaccines.

Sir, I beg you to use your connections within your political sphere to have RFK Jr. removed from his position immediately. This goes beyond party loyalty. This is a national health crisis.

Thank you for your attention,

Alan Limke
